We seek to create sustainable and positive change in all places through our work. It is an economic partnership based on communication, transparency, and mutual interest towards our craft. We intend to achieve this by:
- Creating Opportunities for Economically and Socially Marginalized Producers
- Developing Transparent and Accountable Relationships
- Building and Innovating Designs
- Paying Promptly and Fairly
- Supporting Safe and Empowering Working Conditions
- Ensuring the Rights of Women and Children
- Cultivating Environmental Stewardship
- Respecting Cultural Identity
Problem Statement
Despite of various government and non government efforts, the reality is not satisfactory. The handicraft artisans suffer a lot due to being unorganized, lack of education, low capital, poor exposure to new technologies, absence of market intelligence and a poor institutional framework.
About the Theme
We understand the importance of conserving the remnant of art forms that were once a major source of income in the Indian households and our sole purpose is to work towards bettering these crafts and raise the standards of livelihood of the artisans that have now been strained into a pit due to the emergence of machine made goods.
We make sure that our products are eco-friendly and promote all notions of sustainable development. The materials and colors and the end product all throughout its procedure is handcrafted and made with organic concoctions. Scope promotes recycled handmade products from waste or pulp of paper and wood that are modern, unique, and made with a deeper goal in mind: Preserving nature. With a direct focus on sound CSR practices, Scope pays artisans a fair wage to produce these handmade artifacts mainly sourced from the artisans of Bihar. The company also empowers women to be self-sufficient through financial independence by offering finance planning and providing opportunities for the trained and skilled ladies get an access to gainful employment and experience a higher standard of living. They can now use their incomes to educate their families, move out of the slum areas, and afford basic health care and plan for their future through financial independency.
The handicraft industry fills the market need for authentic handicraft products at an economical price. It is of vital importance to connect the world with our cultural heritage so as to introduce the rich ancestral past of the Indian civilization.
In the places where Indian handicraft can bloom, we make sustainable artifacts made from recycled or natural materials and use organic concoctions all throughout its manufacturing procedure.
The artistic housewares industry provides consumers with functional items which can be used in the home, but which also are unique and aesthetically appealing to both national and international market.
